How does the free trial work?
Connect GitHub to receive one free credit, once per GitHub account. No card is required and the trial never becomes a paid subscription automatically. You can make up to two attempts to get your first proposed change. A failed or cancelled attempt returns the credit but still counts toward that limit.
What counts as one task?
One specific outcome and an acceptance check, such as updating homepage copy or correcting a small UI bug. Mindful has strict context, response, and file limits. If it cannot deliver a proposed change within those limits, the credit is returned.
How do Pro credits and cancellation work?
Each successful $49 monthly payment adds 20 credits. Unused credits roll over and remain available if you cancel renewal. Manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal. Failed renewal payments do not add credits. All plans allow one active task at a time, up to five attempts per day, and the same small-change scope of up to eight text files.
Can I connect someone else’s repository?
You can connect any GitHub repository where you have write access and permission to install the Mindful GitHub App. Organization owners may need to approve installation. You do not need to set up an agent workflow or bring a model API key.
Does this work with every codebase?
Connection is available across authorized GitHub repositories. The first hosted version handles small text changes; it cannot run your application, investigate a live incident, edit binary files, or migrate a database. Complex legacy projects may require additional setup or a developer.
Are the changes tested and deployed?
Mindful reads and edits files, but does not execute builds, tests, or browser checks in this version. Review your project’s CI and any preview deployment before merging. A proposed pull request is not a verified production fix; nothing is merged or deployed automatically.
What happens if a task fails or I cancel?
Your credit is returned if the task fails or is cancelled before publication begins. Once a pull request is delivered, the credit is used even if you choose not to merge. Credit returns are separate from payment refunds; use the support link on your Paddle receipt for payment assistance.
